First of all, let me just say that I, personally, cannot wait until January 1st 2021. This year has been one heck of a doozy, and it keeps throwing curve balls all the way through the end. That said, I am a firm believer in getting things done here and now. Waiting for some magical moment when it's best to get started on a new goal just seems like kicking the can down the road.
Why Wait?
This holiday season actually gives us all a perfect opportunity to get started on those elusive health goals early. Normally this is the time of year when I'm helping clients navigate holiday parties, too many goodies in the office breakroom, etc. But we have none of that this year! Most of us will be having cozy little celebrations with our bubbles or pods of people. We don't have to worry about hurting the host's feeling for not trying their ambrosia salad. There's no guilt about laying off the pie when you're already stuffed from dinner just because your favorite aunt made it from scratch.
There's really no excuse this year!!
Plus, let's face facts: most of us do a horrible job of adhering to New Year's resolutions. We start off strong for a couple weeks, then start to lax, then by March it's all over but the crying. Where did that resolve go? It's funny how I always get bombarded with new clients in March/April. Why? Because these people finally figured out they needed help achieving those goals. Doing it alone was not working. There's no upside to waiting until a magical date to get started. Today is perfect! You already know what it is you want to work on: so do it!!
You are not alone!
I'm here for you. Accountability and support are 95% of my job. I am here to give you the tools you need to succeed. I can help you dial in your goals so that they are clear, measureable, and attainable. So let's get you started.
~Yours in Health
